Saving The World One Gut At A Time

31-Day Functional Elimination Diet

The Elimination Diet involves removing foods from your usual diet that you suspect your body can’t tolerate well in order to help identify allergies, intolerances or sensitivities.

Long Description

Your qualified healthcare practitioner might recommend the Elimination Diet if you suffer from any of the following:

  • Digestive problems
  • Headaches
  • Chronic sinus drainage
  • Low energy
  • Depression
  • Mood swings
  • Eczema
  • Skin irritations
  • Joint aches
  • Asthma
  • Difficulty losing weight

Benefits of the Elimination Diet:

Identifies food triggers and promotes body awareness:

The Elimination Diet helps you to include and exclude certain foods, that could be causing a negative reaction in your body. At the end of your elimination period, you may develop an awareness of foods that trigger sympoms in your body and will have the opportunity to figure out what food or foods are making you feel poorly.

Reduces inflammation:

Food reactions can trigger inflammatory reactions in the gut, making the intestinal wall more porous and exposed to the influx of large, undigested food particles into the blood (a condition referred to as “leaky gut”). The Elimination Diet helps to reduce inflammation by promoting the ingestion of foods that encourage the intake of anti‐inflammatory foods.

Doesn’t restrict calories:

Weight loss is not a goal of this food plan, but may (or may not) happen due to your body coming back into balance. Calorie counting is not apart of the Elimination Diet so in that way, it is not as restrictive as some dietary regimens. However, what is essential is to eat only the foods on the approved food list.

Plan Ahead:

This particular Elimination Diet is 31 days, but you and your qualified healthcare practitioner will decide together how long you should be doing elimination before you start reintroducing foods.
