More About Me

At 19, I developed extreme digestive discomfort. The doctor stated that red meat, mainly beef was too heavy for my stomach to digest. Several years later, I successfully eliminated all beef from my diet.

At 25, I was pregnant with my first child. I took myself to the emergency room because of extreme headaches, throwing up, stiffness, and unease over my entire body. My first blood pressure reading was 200/180.

The doctor diagnosed me with preeclampsia resulting in my daughter's early birth at 36 weeks. I was released from the hospital, but my daughter had to stay a few weeks longer. Although not a big fan of pork, I removed this from my diet and followed a low sodium eating style. I started noticing fast foods caused me significant discomfort. After a few documentaries and self-learning about ingredients in food, I successfully quit fast food.

In my thirties, my official wellness journey began. I successfully freed myself from an abusive adoptive mother and focused on healing inside and out. I started paying attention to myself and discovered I did not have low self-esteem but low self-worth. Although this still plagues me today, I can successfully recognize these emotions and counteract them with self-love and resilience. I continued my path to better health, physically and mentally, and feel my experiences and expertise are beneficial to others, leading me to health coaching.
